Walk of Fame Announces 2014 Honorees

The Hollywood Walk of Fame committee chairman David Green announced next year’s list of honorees Thursday at a ceremony where Jennifer Lopez received her honor, with Tupac Shakur and Phil Hartman set to be lauded posthumously.

In the film category, those scheduled to receive a star in 2014 are: Orlando Bloom, Ray Dolby, Sally Field, Jack Harris, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Liam Neeson, Paul Mazursky and Tom Sherak.

In TV, Dabney Coleman, Kaley Cuoco, Claire Danes, Giancarlo Esposito, Deidre Hall, Cheryl Hines, Don Mischer, Rickey Smiley and Hartman are set to be honored.

Recording stars include Katy Perry, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Rick Springfield and Shakur.

ORLANDO JONATHAN BLANCHARD BLOOM. THIS LINEUP... OMG, I CANNOT! GUISE... GUUYYSSS! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE ORLI (AND MIRANDA). OMG, YOU BETCHA I'LL BE THERE WHENEVER AND WHEREVER THAT'LL BE. HOPEFULLY, I WON'T DROP DEAD WHEN I MEET HIM. OMG... HOLD ME. /spazz

It's still a long wait but I'm already legit shaking with excitement. OMG. I felt the same way when I met Craig Parker (Haldir). Holy crap, you guys! So overwhelmed right now. ;__;  It might take months or years but whenever the fuck that is... if I have to skip work or school, I will.  (You have my sword.  And my bow... and my ax.)

When asked the question, "Who is that one celebrity that will make you lose your shit?" I have two answers: Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom.  And yes, you can blame Lord of the Rings.  That movie trilogy made such an impact on me that more than ten years later, I still love it as if I've just seen it for the first time.

If my mom has Tom Cruise to spazz over, I have Orli.  Whatever you have to say about his work or talent, I've heard all of it.  I may even escort you to the left and tie you securely on a chair so you can stay there.  But I love him.  Not in a batshitcrazy fan type of way... I just love him.

And hot damn, just think of the possible celebrity guest(s) he'll have during the ceremony.  Miranda and not-so-baby-anymore Flynn, too!  Man, if he's gonna invite Viggo and/or any of his LOTR castmates, let me just post my pictures on my social media and my life would be complete.  Hehehehe... ;-)

These three.  One day, I will complete the set.

Walk of Fame ceremonies are not as fun as red carpet premieres but they're definitely less crazy.  And you get to see not just the one being awarded a star, but other celebrities too.  At Joe Mantegna's ceremony, I met most of the Criminal Minds cast, except for Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Paget Brewster.  At Simon Baker's ceremony, I saw Naomi Watts (another Peter Jackson connection via King Kong).  Sam Waterson's ceremony satisfied my CSI list when I saw Ted Danson in person.  Of course back then, he wasn't part of CSI yet but he eventually joined the team some years after.  I missed my opportunity to see the CSI cast when they awarded Marg Helgenberger a star and I wasn't informed (lol).  And guess what... Archie Kao was there.  OMG.  I also missed another encounter with Jeremy Renner when I couldn't attend Scarlett Johansson's ceremony.  But hey, I was at The Avengers red carpet some days before that.

Ah such is the life of a fangirl.  I support my K-Pop side with my hard-earned money while my Hollywood side give and get love for free.  XD
