A Korean tourist greets a group of Japanese students: 안녕하세요? 한국이에요?The students go, "いいえ".
Tourist then says, 아! 미안합니다.
They all do the 90 degree bow to each other.
And here I am sitting, looking at both parties, able to understand their conversation despite not having a word of English in them.
Apparently, they understood each other too.
