Yesterday was bittersweet. It was the last day of my Korean language class. I do get my Saturdays back but I did look forward to my Saturdays because I get to go to school, speak and learn Korean, and be in Old Town Pasadena. Saturdays is also when I go on my book runs. I drop by 2-3 used bookstores and get away with 4-6 books.
I will still be continuing with my Korean languages studies. I have books for self-study and the progress I made in that 6 months have been very positive and it opened my eyes that I can do it. I've had instances where I used that knowledge and that keeps me motivated.
Whenever I hear the word ELECTRO, the first thing that comes to mind is GD&TOP's High High. Why?
What in the world is GHETTO ELECTRO anyway? I don't think anybody actually knows.
But as much as I love GD & TOP, this is not what this post is about. A few days ago, I stumbled upon these new Maybelline Baby Lips. I've only seem them in one Rite Aid so far. I picked up three of them after looking up the colors online and now, they're happily introduced to my existing collection of Baby Lips.
I love these. They are tinted lip balms that do not feel heavy no matter how much you slather on. My favorite is Cherry Me, on the far right end. Oh, I just realized that apart from Cherry Me, every tube here is limited edition. I'm not sure if the Electro line is limited edition but for now, that's what they are.
I haven't mentioned it but I received my Missha order last week. FINALLY. I mean, I placed my order on the 7th and they shipped it on the 16th and I got it on the 21st. Wuuuh... I went from excitement to frustration in that first ten days of waiting. And then when they shipped it out, it fell on a holiday. DX I never watched that USPS tracking number closer in my life.
I wasn't planning on buying more stuff. (I'm saving up for that G-Dragon concert, whenever that will be in the SoCal area because we know that GD will hold one here.) 안녕! How was your Lunar New Year? I had Italian food. Yeah. Totally unrelated. And I also did some hauling. Beauty hauling that is. ^o^ How many orange lipsticks are at the drugstore?! I am this close to having them all, I think. Haha... I sure did well for myself yesterday.
Ohh yay, mess! See, I even got a peachy blush. My mom and I went crazy because both RiteAid and CVS are having such great deals right now. And I had some surprise coupons from CVS that I had to use up before they expired. Also, two of these products are not from yesterday's haul but I decided to include them anyway. As I've mentioned before, anything orange will not be reviewed right away. Wait for my master post on that. The others... maybe. The Wet n Wild stuff are new so I might get on that.
Orange is my favorite color. And I've been a bit orange-obsessed lately. Specifically with orange makeup. Most of my recent lip color purchases are in that color family. According to Pantone, I'm a whole year/season late but whatever. Those color "trends" are essentially the same every year - nudes, reds, brights, neons... it has been like that for years. But orange has always been that statement color. And I love it!
So I went on a little orange frenzy haulin' at both Target and Ulta after 한국어 class today. Speaking of that, it was extra fun today. We "studied" songs. I chose and 여자 이니 까 by 키스and 그 남자 by 백지영 from the K-Drama Secret Garden. Man, K-Pop has pretty sad as hell songs. These two are prime examples. It brings me so much joy to be able to actually read these lyrics in 한굴 and not just rely on the Romanized lyrics. I'll be able to understand them eventually. Fighting! Anyway, it was crazy cold last night and today so my OOTD is not that fancy. (Btw, sending warmth and love to y'all East Coasters! Stay safe!) But I did have my kitty hat!
